ACOUSTIC COMPOSITION 

  • Masterclasses with faculty members.

  • Give a presentation at the composers' symposium (optional, but recommended).

  • Write a new piece for Ensemble Recherche (up to 8 min).

  • Rehearsals of your piece with ensemble recherche.

  • Live performance of your new piece at the Delian Academy concerts.

  • Professional audio and video recording of your piece.

Participation Fees: €900

ELECTROACOUSTIC COMPOSITION

  • Masterclasses with faculty members.

  • Give a presentation at the composers' symposium (optional, but recommended).

  • Write a new piece (up to 8 min) for Reactive Ensemble and electronics (live or fixed).

  • Finalize the electronics and rehearse your piece with Reactive Ensemble.

  • Live performance of your new piece at the 2024 Delian Academy.

  • Professional audio and video recording of your piece.

  • Second performance of your piece at the IDKF in Stuttgart, November 2024.

Participation Fees: €900

SOUND ART / MULTIMEDIA

  • Masterclasses with faculty members.

  • Give a presentation at the composers' symposium (optional, but recommended).

  • Create a new sound/multimedia installation with optional live soloisty.

  • Work with curator and/or soloist and finalize the installation of your piece.

  • Live performance/exhibition of your new piece at the Delian Academy.

  • Professional video documentation of your piece.

Participation Fees: €500

FEES AND FUNDING

All participants are encouraged to seek funding through state grants, foundations, institutes of higher education or other institutions. The Academy will provide you with all necessary documentation that will help your application. You can find a guide to cultural mobility funding here.

Scholarship in memoriam Iannis Xenakis

 

One (1) merit/need-based scholarship will be awarded in the memory of Iannis Xenakis, covering the full amount of participation fees. The scholarship holder must still cover their travel and accommodation expenses. If you would like to be considered for the scholarship, please include a short letter in your application, explaining the circumstances. If you have sufficient funds or a source of funding (e.g., through your school, foundations, state grants), we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting funding so that others in real financial need can be assisted.
